About Crete Coatings
Our Story
Crete Coatings had its beginning in the ’80s as a preservation division of Tim Mahoney Construction (TMC), Inc. It has always been a family company and was run by the Mahoney Brothers in Utah. Tim Mahoney grew the flatwork and technical division of the concrete company, while his brother (Mike) ran the preservation division until he made a name for himself in the woodturning world. In 2004 the coating company stayed in the family as the next generation (Colin Mahoney) took over the sealing division of TMC. Over the 40+ years in concrete work, the company has worked on thousands of homes and commercial properties. It has grown a reputation that we are proud to have earned. Knowledge of the trade has been passed down through the generations of craftsmen. Artistry, good taste, and attention to detail separate Crete Coatings from its competitors.

Self-leveling Concrete Flooring
Our self-leveling cement-based overlay floor systems can be applied from 1/4” to 5” thick. They can be colored through various means, and many topcoat and sheen options exist.

Resinous Epoxy coatings are designed to withstand the rigors of industrial and chemical facilities. Available in self-leveling or high-build formulas, slip-resistance, chemical resistance, and safety colors are among the many options.
Concrete Microtoppings
Microtopping floor systems are cement-based overlays for level surfaces. Used for finishing, resurfacing, and new flooring applications, microtoppings can be applied over many types of substrates and vertical surfaces.

Our garage floor systems are professional-grade resin chip epoxy floor coatings not found in big box stores. Features include hot-tire-pickup and chemical resistance. Many color options exist.
Metallic Epoxy Flooring
Metallic flooring provides a deep-shine finish. Colored metallic pigments are suspended in a resinous floor coating. A multitude of colors are available, with design options as broad as your imagination allows.
Stained Concrete Flooring

Polished Concrete Toppings
Polishable cement-based concrete overlays are hard-wearing flooring that can be stained, dyed, and polished to nearly any sheen desired. They are often used in retail stores and other commercial facilities.
