Polished Concrete Flooring on Madison Avenue, New York

Mirage Finishes, a polished concrete contractor based in Valley Stream, NY, completed the polished concrete flooring project feature here at 102 Madison Avenue, NYC.

The project started with applying Duraamen’s Param 5500 self-leveling concrete poured approximately 3/8 inch thick. This served to slightly raise the surface and level the existing flooring.

The following application was two coats of Skraffino micro cement with an integral color called Iron Mountain from our extensive line of colorants.

Mirage Finishes applied our Perdure E32 water-based epoxy with a top coat of Perdure U45 matte water-based aliphatic polyurethane to seal and protect the surface. This system provides abrasion-resistant protection. This popular system is extensively used in high-traffic areas like restaurants, retail stores, and office building spaces. This system is recommended when the existing surface is out of level and it needs to be leveled. Skraffino, a premium grade micro cement is applied on the self leveling concrete to create a very natural, hand applied organic polished concrete floor.
