An ideal solution is to apply Skraffino over concrete with area rugs to add warmth and design. If there is risk of potential flood damage, the area rugs can be rolled up and stored on high ground until after the storm. 1. Moisture Vapor Remediation – concrete floors can get damaged by moisture from above and below after a big storm. Excessive ground moisture can get underneath your concrete slab. The tremendous force of moisture pressure will cause below slab water to push upwards through the tiny pores in concrete. Our Perdure MVT is a topical application for concrete floors preventing moisture pressure that damages flooring.
2. Skraffino – This is a thin but incredibly durable concrete overlay that has unlimited design potential. A simple application with a area rugs provides a cost effective solution preventing flood damage to flooring. Many creative contractors have used Skraffino for shower walls and floors because it holds up to water. This is one of the best flooring products available. It has been used in tough environments like high traffic grocery stores, retail stores and thousands of basements.
3. Perdure BE58 is a moisture tolerant waterborne epoxy top coat. This sealer is ideal for floors that are at risk of future moisture problems. This sealer can be applied directly over Skraffino or directly to existing concrete surfaces.
