If you want the look of concrete flooring, you don’t have to start from a concrete floor. The Weight Watchers 18,000 sq. ft. corporate offices in NYC utilized a plywood substrate as their flooring.
To achieve a modern concrete floor design, Duraamen’s Param 5500 self-leveling concrete was installed right over the plywood to create a new concrete-like substrate.
Next, Duraamen’s Skraffino concrete microtopping/overlay was integrally colored with Colorfast concrete colorants and applied over the new substrate. The new floor was sealed with water-based epoxy and two coats of matte polyurethane to realize the client’s vision of a modern-looking, non-glare floor.
